Real Florida 5K Run in the Park
300 professional and amateur runners join in a cool morning cross country run or walk amid the park's beautiful sandhill environment. Refreshments, a drawing and awards ceremony follow the race.

Be a volunteer staff member of the nature based museum and help teach others about the land and its wildlife

Florida: Then and Now
A living Florida history covering 500 years. Reenactors portray a confederate cow camp, territorial soldiers, a Seminole Indian settlement , botanist William Bartram, the Oswald plantation , a Spanish settlement and Timucuan Indians. The program is dedicated to school groups for two days and open to the pubic one day."

Songbirds Festival

This celebrates the return of the migratory songbirds. It includes talks on migratory birds, the Florida scrub-jay and wildlife food plants for your yard. There are environmental exhibits and a chance to build a bird box or bird feeder to take home."
