The Wekiva
Wilderness Trust (WWT) is a citizens support organization (as defined in Florida
Statute 258.015) dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment
and promotion of nature related activities within the Wekiva Basin. We strive to increase
community awareness of the over 40,000 acre Wekiva Basin through park facilities,
activities and events that are educational and enjoyable to the community. WWT raises
funds to support its efforts. The organization is made up totally of volunteers and is
dependent on contributions for financial support. WWT receives no local, state, or federal
financial support.
